APOG manufactures the housing and connector. APOG is scrupulous in ensuring that the combination of housing/connection with the original bare lamp achieves the optimal performance.

During product development, products go through the following tests:

• Compatibility Check - To check the compatibility between the bare lamp and the supported projectors.
• Cage Fitting Test - To ensure the housing produced by APOG can be fit perfectly.
• Log-Run Test - Run the lamp for at least 500 hours to see if the housing can manage the heat
• Actual Machine Test - Run the lamp for at least 100 hours in a projector and fine-tune the performance.

  "Diamond" "APOG" "Generic" Lamps	These comprise an original lamp bulb fitted to a re-manufactured housing. They offer OEM equivalent lamp life and brightness and a 90 day warranty.   "Compatible" Lamps	These re-manufactured lamps have a reduced lamp life compared to original lamps. A compatible lamp should only be considered if an original lamp is not available or is not affordable. When ordering lamps on other websites always check that you are not being supplied a "Compatible" lamp.
  "Bare" Lamps	Ordering a "Bare Lamp" can be a very cost effective option. It is often very easy to refit a new bare lamp to the original lamp housing. You will need to carefully examine your existing housing to ensure that it is in good re-useable condition and that you will be able to replace the lamp bulb yourself.
